FSU election contender found dead

POKHARA, March 2: A student contesting in the elections of the Free Students Union (FSU) has been found dead.



The deceased has been identified as Rima Chhetri, 20, a contestant for the post President in the ongoing FSU elections. Chhetri was contesting in the ongoing FSU polls from the Nepal Students Union at Siddhartha Campus based in Phedikhola.  


According to SP Deb Bahadur Bogati of District Police Office Syangja, Chhetri’s body was found hanging in her house.

Chhetri’s body was found hanging in her house this morning. We are investigating the case. The cause behind death will be determined following the postmortem,” Bogati told Republica Online.


Chhetri was the student of Bachelor 2nd year.


Police have also recovered a note reading ‘when there is no more hope for living …’ in her pocket.
