KATHMANDU, May 24: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the latest foreign exchange rates, with the US dollar slightly declining against the Nepali rupee compared to Friday.
The buying rate for one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 152.81 and the selling rate at Rs 153.41, down from Friday’s selling rate of Rs 154.23.
Among other major currencies, the euro is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 177.17 and a selling rate of Rs 177.86, while the British pound sterling is valued at Rs 205.06 for buying and Rs 205.87 for selling. The Swiss franc has been set at Rs 194.20 for buying and Rs 194.97 for selling.
Forex update: US dollar selling at Rs 148.99
Similarly, the Japanese yen is being exchanged at Rs 9.60 for buying and Rs 9.64 for selling per 10 units, while the Chinese yuan is fixed at Rs 22.49 for buying and Rs 22.58 for selling.
The Australian dollar is being traded at Rs 108.85 for buying and Rs 109.27 for selling, while the Canadian dollar stands at Rs 110.76 and Rs 111.19 respectively.
Among Gulf currencies, the Saudi riyal has been fixed at Rs 40.72 for buying and Rs 40.88 for selling, the Qatari riyal at Rs 41.94 and Rs 42.10, and the UAE dirham at Rs 41.61 and Rs 41.77 respectively.
Likewise, the Kuwaiti dinar remains the most expensive among the listed currencies, with a buying rate of Rs 498.08 and a selling rate of Rs 500.03.
