Representatives of the World Bank (WB), Asian Development Bank (ADB), Department for International Development (DFID), UK, and other agencies met Minister for Education, Ganga Lal Tuladhar, and have piled pressure to book the guilty persons and make clear about the facts of the report.
Director General of the Department of Education, Mahashram Sharma, said the representatives of donor agencies have expressed concerns on the report and additional information will be taken in the district-level.
Sharma has claimed that all Rs 730 million was not misused and the amount of textbooks was not expended in some districts as well.
Director General Sharma claimed that the investigation committee has created illusions as the unexpended funds were kept under the category of fund misuse.
As a part of report implementation, the Ministry has asked clarification from Ram Chandra Silwal, Managing Director of Janak Education Material Center.
