"We had no intention of boycotting the tournament but wanted to draw CAN´s attention to cricket development," Khadka said.
On the other side, Pandey said he asked Khadka to participate in the tournament and come up with concrete demands after the tournament. "As Paras called me this morning (Saturday), I asked him to come up with their problems. If CAN can afford, we are ready to decide in their favor," he said.
"We may have missed some issues, but they should come with concrete idea on what we should do for cricketers and Nepali cricket," he said.
Organizing a press meet on Friday, 18 members of the team (except former captain Binod Das and Sharad Vesawkar), which is under closed camp training for the World Cricket League Division 4 scheduled for August, had announced to boycott the tournament expressing serious dissatisfaction with the CAN administration.
After the announcement, the players talked with the team manager and CAN member Thakur Pratap Thapa and CAN Vice-president Upendra Prasad Bhattarai about their issues. After Thapa and Bhattarai assured them that CAN would address their issues, Khadka held talks with Pandey.
"We have agreed to move forward in mutual understanding and accepting mistakes from both sides," said Thapa.
