KATHMANDU, Feb 6: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has reported the country is currently experiencing westerly winds. The hilly areas of Koshi Province experience partial cloudiness, while the rest of the country remains clear. Fog will persist in some places of the Terai region.
According to the DHM, the weather is mostly clear in most parts of the country today, with partial cloudiness in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces. Light snowfall may occur in a few places in the mountains and Himalayan areas of these provinces.
During the night, partial cloudiness will persist in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, while the remaining areas will remain clear.
The DHM has predicted that light snowfall is possible in some areas of the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces in the next 24 hours. Additionally, fog is expected to affect the Terai regions on Friday morning. The department has urged people to take necessary precautions as these weather conditions may impact daily life, health, road conditions, and air travel.
