During its visit, the board will observe Danish development activities and take stock of the socio-political and economic challenges affecting Nepal´s development, Danish Embassy in Kathmandu said in a statement. [break]
In addition, the board will meet leaders of political parties, senior officials, donor agencies and civil society representatives to assess economic situation, the peace process, political situation, human rights, development planning, climate change and specific challenges related to the Danish development cooperation.
The board will also visit a number of districts to observe Danish funded development activities at the field level.
As a partner country for development cooperation since 1989, Denmark is currently supporting peace building, human rights, good governance, education and renewable energy sectors in Nepal.
Swiss Speaker arriving Nepal on Sunday
Swiss Speaker Pascale Bruderer Wyss is visiting Nepal from Sunday upon the invitation of Speaker Subas Nembang, according to an official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During her six-day visit, Wyss will meet political leaders to take stock of the constitution writing process by the Constituent Assembly. Similarly, a delegation of European parliamentarians is also visiting Nepal from Monday.
The delegation to be led by EU parliament Chair on development Enrique Guerrero Salom will meet political leaders during their five-day stay in Kathmandu.
