BIZ BRIEFS: Neoteric's special offer on HID card printer

KATHMANDU: Neoteric Nepal, a subsidiary of Golchha Organization, has announced a special bundle offer for HID card printers. Issuing a press statement on Sunday, the company said it will provide ID Solo card design and production software, full-color ribbon cartridge, 100 UltraCard PVC cards and USB cable free with every purchase of HID card printers. "HID is an American brand acquired by Swedish Company Assa Abloy. HID printer is a single-sided card printer which can be used manually for double-sided printing," said the statement. Users can print 10,000 cards per year with the printer. It uses advanced Dye-Sublimation and Resin Thermal transfer printing technology for printing with a high resolution of 300 dpi, the company said. "Weighing only about 3.4 kg, the printer is highly portable," said the statement.



Roots Fashion announces winner

Mega, Prabhu Money sign remittance pact


KATHMANDU: Mega Bank and Prabhu Money Transfer have entered into an agreement which allows Nepalis to collect remittance sent through Prabhu Money from any branch of Mega. An agreement to this extent was signed by Raveena Desraj Shrestha, chief business officer of Mega, and Rameshwor Sapkota, deputy general manager of Prabhu Money, says a statement issued by Mega Bank on Sunday. "With this agreement, remittances sent from abroad through Prabhu Money Transfer can be obtained from all 28 branches of Mega Bank in the country," the statement says. Mega Bank has been facilitating remittance transfer to Nepal from the Middle East, Europe and other countries. So far, the bank has tied up with remittance companies such as Himal Remit, JME, City Express, United Remit, among others, for the purpose.



Ensure security: FNCCI

KATHMANDU :
The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has urged the government to guarantee security of businesspersons and industries. The request was made during a meeting with Khil Raj Regmi, chairman of Council of Ministers. “The government should concentrate on creating labor-friendly environment, power generation, and introduction of budget with focus on development,” an FNCCI statement quotes its president Suraj Vaidya as saying during the meeting. He also urged the government to guarantee security of industrialists pointing to recent attack launched on industrialist BK Shrestha and Ncell. “The latest attacks indicate that law and order situation in the country is deteriorating. It these acts cannot be controlled now it will affect the upcoming election,” the FNCCI delegation led by Vaidya said.
