In the match held at Nepal Police Academy, Maharajgunj, Nirajan Rayamajhi scored in the 64th minute to cancel Birgunj´s lead taken in the 28th minute through Krishna Shakya. [break]
After playing 11 matches apiece, Birgunj leads the table with 23 points while MYA is in second place with 22 points. The result also gave continuity to Birgunj´s unbeaten run in the league with three more matches to play.
In another match, Laligurans Pulchowk Sports Club, climbed to third position from fifth with 2-1 win over Sano Gaucharan Club. Despite taking an early fourth minute lead, relegation battler Sano Gaucharan failed to defend it.
Milan Magrati had put Sano Gaucharan ahead in the fourth minute but Suman Gurun hit back the equalizer in the 64th minute and Wangel Ghalan doubled the advantage two minutes from time.
With the win, Pulchowk accumulated 22 points, equal points as that of second placed Madhyapur but the latter has upper hand on goal difference after playing equal 11 matches. Sano Gaucharan remained in 13th place, third from bottom, with eight points.
