Birgunj Customs collects Rs 154.84 bn in revenue in seven months

PARSA, March 26: The Birgunj Customs Office has collected Rs 154.84 billion in revenue during the first seven months of the current fiscal year.



The office had set a target of Rs 175.31 billion for the period and has achieved 88 percent of the target so far. According to Information Officer Udaya Singh Bista, revenue collection during the review period is Rs 13.36 billion higher than in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

In terms of monthly collection, the office collected Rs 18.44 billion from mid-July to mid-August, Rs 20.73 billion from mid-August to mid-September, Rs 19.09 billion from mid-September to mid-October, and Rs 17.33 billion from mid-October to mid-November.


Similarly, revenue collection stood at Rs 20.80 billion from mid-November to mid-December, Rs 20.20 billion from mid-December to mid-January, Rs 18.92 billion from mid-January to mid-February, and Rs 19.34 billion from mid-February to mid-March.
