Batas Organization bags Petronas India's dealership

KATHMANDU, Nov 7: Batas Organization has bagged the dealership of Petronas Lubricants India (PLI) - a wholly-owned subsidiary of Petronas Malasiya - for Nepal.



ASB International - a subsidiary of Batas Organization - on Wednesday officially launched complete range of lubricants from PLI in the Nepali market. The company will sell Petronas´ products like Mach 5 range for cars, Urania range of products for Diesel Engine Oil (DEO), Sprinta range for Malaysian Crude Oil (MCO), Selenia and Arkos range of products for tractors in Nepal. These products are available in price range of Rs 300 to Rs 350 per liter.[break]



"We are proud to be associated with the company that manufactures world-class lubricant products including synthetic oils, mineral based oils and complete range of industrial products," said Shanta Raj Batas, CEO of Batas Organization.



Globally, Petronas has association with leading automobile companies like Mercedes, BMW, Volvo, Suzuki, Fiat group of companies, Case New Holland, Yamaha, Doosan, Tata and numerous opportunity enterprise and franchise business.



“Nepal has become the 35th market for Petronas," said Giuseppe Pedretti, general manager of Petronas Asia, after announcing Petronas´ dealership in Nepal. “We are very sure our products will be successful in Nepal as Batas Organization has been pretty successful in businesses it is engaged in since last four decades."



He said that the company´s objective behind entering the Nepali lubricant market was to give value position to Nepali customers through technology, high performance engine oils and eco friendly oils.



"We provide high quality performance oils and through this we assure conservation of natural resources and also ensure huge savings to our customers," said MP Singh, CEO of PLI.



According to a statement issued on the occasion, Petronas is an energy major that is ranked 68th among Global Fortune 500 companies. It has been fast selling lubricants since last two years in India.
