KATHMANDU, Dec 1: Nepal have been handed a 148-run target to clinch the title of the ACC Men’s U–19 Premier Cup cricket tournament, currently underway in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In the final held at the Karwan Cricket Ground in Ajman, hosts UAE were bowled out for 147 runs in 45.5 overs after opting to bat first. Ahmed Khudadad top-scored for the side with a resilient 71 runs.

For Nepal, Dayanand Mandal produced an impressive bowling display, taking six wickets. Aparajit Paudel took two wickets, while captain Ashok Dhami and Nitesh Kumar Patel claimed one wicket each.
Both Nepal and UAE had already secured qualification for the U–19 Asia Cup by reaching the final. According to the tournament rules, the two finalists automatically qualify for the continental event.
Meanwhile, Malaysia and Oman are scheduled to play later today for third place, with the winner also earning a spot in the Asia Cup.
A total of 14 teams participated in this year’s U–19 Premier Cup. The U–19 Asia Cup will be held in December in the UAE.
