2 missing after truck plunges into Trishuli

CHITWAN, Aug 8: Two persons went missing after a truck laden with gas cylinders plunged into the Trishuli River at Kerabari in Kabilas VDC of Chitwan early Sunday morning.



Police said the truck fell about 200 meters down into the river. Sub-inspector Ratna Bahadur BK speculated that the truck driver and helper are missing. Their identities are still yet to be ascertained. He said they fled the scene or were swept away by the river.



The truck was heading to Kathmandu from Gaindakot, Nawalparasi. BK said almost half of the cylinders have been swept away.
