11 injured in gas cylinder explosion at a momo shop in Kamal Pokhari (with names)

KATHMANDU, Feb 6: A gas cylinder exploded in a momo shop located in Kamal Pokhari, Kathmandu this morning.

Senior Superintendent of Police Shekhar Khanal said that the explosion took place at 8:42 AM today at the Sandar Momo shop. According to him, 11 male workers working in the same shop were injured. The injured individuals were initially taken to Himal Hospital and have now been transferred to the Kirtipur Hospital for further treatment.

According to SSP Khanal, the condition of one of the 11 people injured in the explosion is critical and the building has also been damaged.

In the morning, after a loud explosion, security vehicles and an ambulance went towards the site.

The injured has been identified as Manish Pokharel, 18, originally from Belbari Municipality-8, Morang, currently residing in Kamal Pokhari, Kathmandu-28; Rohan Lama, 18, originally from Chitwan, currently residing in Kamal Pokhari, Kathmandu-28; Sanjok Magar, 24, originally from Katari Municipality, Udayapur District, currently residing in Kamal Pokhari, Kathmandu-28; Pratik Lama, 22, residing in Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu-28; Dhan Bahadur Tamang, 28, of Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu-28; Nabin Magar, 25, residing in Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu-28; Biyas Magar, 19, residing in Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu-28; Chiring Lama, 27, originally from Kavre, currently residing in Kamal Pokhari, Kathmandu-28; Ayush Magar, 19, originally from Satdobato, Lalitpur, currently residing in Kamal Pokhari, Kathmandu-28; Rabin Rai, 18, originally from Hetauda, Makwanpur, currently residing in Kamal Pokhari, Kathmandu-28; Biras Kumar Ghale, 20, originally from Udayapur, currently residing in Kamal Pokhari, Kathmandu-28.

Similarly, Raj Kumar Tamang, 24, originally from Pharping, Kathmandu, currently residing in Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu-28; Sudip Maharjan, 20, originally from Katari Municipality, Udayapur, currently residing in Kamal Pokhari, Kathmandu-28 and Aryan Maharjan, 17, residing in Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu-28 have sustained minor injuries and do not require treatment.
