10 held for involvement in flesh trade

ITAHARI, July 3: Police raided some hotels in different areas of Dharan Municipality and held ‘four couples’ and two hoteliers in connection to their involvement in flesh trading.



Police raided the hotels on the suspicion of running illegal and anti-social activities following the tip-off, said Keshav Bhattarai, Police Inspector at Dharan Area Police Office.[break]



The police team in plain clothes raided Singapore Hotel, Duku Hotel, and Riha restaurant based in Ward No. 13 of the municipality and caught them red-handed.



Police arrested Ranjan Kumar Singh and Sita Neupane of Itahari, Prem Kumar Limbu, Rina Rai of Dharan, Manish Karki and Shashi Mahat Sinha of Biratnagar from the hotels.



Similarly, police held Rachana Tamang and Tara Shrestha of Riha and Singapore restaurants, said inspector Bhattarai.
