Drinking water pipeline expansion halted in Pokhara

POKHARA, July 9: Pipeline expansion project in Pokhara has been halted due to insufficient funds. Nepal Water Supply Corporation (NWSC), Pokhara had started the works for installing DI pipes of 20 inches in Pokhara bazaar to address the increasing need for drinking water in the city.

Boy goes missing in Mahakali River

MAHENDRANAGAR, July 9: Prem Rawat, 19, originally from Sherdaha Rural Municipality who was studying in Mahendranagar, has gone missing while bathing in the Mahakali River. Rawat was staying at his uncle Udaya Rawat's house in Ward 9 of Mahakali Municipality.

Vegetable, tea and coffee farmers in the eastern region have been expressing concerns from to time-to-time over the obstruction in export of their produce to the Indian market. They complain that the southern neighbor restricts their produces from entering enter its market stating fall in demands. Farmers rue that they are not able to export their produce to India though the demand is high. They lament that in absence of a fair import and export policy between the two countries, they are bound to suffer every year.

Dr KC’s condition deteriorating
