Bibeksheel moves court demanding election symbol

KATHMANDU, April 2: Bibeksheel Nepali Party has filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court on Sunday challenging the provision of Local Level Elections Act 2017, which does not allow parties, other than currently present in the parliament, from contesting the elections with same election symbol across the country.

KATHMANDU, April 1: Deshbhakta Jana Ganatantrik Morcha has expressed its discontent over the provision in the Local Level Election Act-2073 that says that those parties in the parliament could only get election symbols.
