KATHMANDU, April 1: Deshbhakta Jana Ganatantrik Morcha has expressed its discontent over the provision in the Local Level Election Act-2073 that says that those parties in the parliament could only get election symbols. 

A press statement issued by Morcha's Chairperson CP Gajurel today asserts that the provision in the Act is against the spirit of Article 4 (1) of the new constitution of Nepal which states that Nepal is an independent, indivisible, sovereign, secular, inclusive, democratic, socialism-oriented, federal democratic republican state. 

Gajurel has demanded revocation of the provision in the Act which he argued that it negates the spirit of the constitution that grants the right to form a political party or organization as per one's ideologies, principals and thoughts. RSS
