It is high time we took an initiative to save the Earth. Day to day, we come across a lot of articles and posts regarding the environmental damage caused by excessive use of plastic bags. The bad thing about people is that they dump garbage in the river, pond, and lake or in ocean. This not only pollutes the city but also kills millions of aquatic lives.

Considering this problem, two fine arts graduates Sanjeev Maharjan and Sunita Maharjan establish an art studio and learning space. They named it ‘Drawing Room KTM’. It is a platform that helps art enthusiasts to hone their skills in paintings and drawing.

With every finger spinning magic with the colorful yarns, they enclose a fragment of their culture in every making. For 62-year-old Nhuchhey Lachhimi, knitting has become a part of her daily living and a medium to escape boredom.

Purna Laxmi and Tritha Raj Prajapati got married when they were 16. Today, both of them are 63. It was an arranged marriage. They have 3 sons and 3 daughters.

Mother Teresa Social Service Club of DAVSKVB School had taken an initiative for the donation program. It was done to make differences in the lives of the children living in needy homes and underprivileged schools.

KATHMANDU, Dec 13: The 16th edition of Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival (KIMFF), concluded at Rastriya Sabha Griha (City Hall) and Nepal Tourism Board, Kathmandu on Tuesday. The film ‘A Thousand Girls like Me’ won the international category and won $1,500. A total of 14 films from 31 countries competed in the international level competition.
KATHMANDU, Dec 12: “How far is Kalinchkowk? It’s too cold! Is there a cable car?” Yuko Saanu, a Japanese tourist asked while we were about to reach the Kuri Valley. Replying to his queries, tourism entrepreneur Rajuman Maharjan said, “The sky is clear. Kalinchkowk is on the top of the hill”. Saanu again asked, “When will we get to see the mountains?” listening to his question, I quipped, “White snow has already melted from the himalayas, transforming the white Mountains into black rocks.” Reacting to my funny answer other members of the team laughed.
I am a 29-year-old woman working at a corporate house for the past eight years. I used to enjoy my work earlier. However I have slowly began losing interest from my work. This is because I feel I have spent a long time in the same organization doing the same thing. I am convincing myself to keep up with the daily routine. However, I always return home feeling drained.
