Nawalpur sees rise in winter paddy harvest

NAWALPUR, July 19: Nawalpur (Bardaghat-Susta East) has witnessed a rise in winter paddy harvest this year. According to the Agriculture Knowledge Centre, the district this year has seen an increase of paddy output by 400 metric tons in comparison to the last year.

Monetary policy delayed with formation of new government

KATHMANDU, July 18: The monetary policy for fiscal year 2021/22 that was supposed to come online on Sunday has been postponed with the formation of a new government.

CHAUTARA, July18: During the fiscal year 2020/21, a revenue of Rs 1.2 billion was collected from the point against the target of Rs 5.47 billion, said the customs office’s Information Officer Ram Chandra Poudel. Minimum wage for private workers reaches Rs 15,000 per month

KATHMANDU, July 17: The provision about the new minimum wage for private sector workers has come into effect from the current fiscal year. Earlier the government had decided to increase the minimum wages for private sector workers beginning from Saun 1 (July 16) which marks the commencement of the new fiscal year.  Now, private workers except for tea estate workers are eligible to draw Rs 15,000 monthly.
