KATHMANDU, July 9: A meeting of the Judicial Council on Friday decided to expel a judge serving at Butwal Bench of High Court Tulsipur, Renuka Sah.

KATHMANDU, July 8: The Citizenship Bill 2075 BS, which was stuck in parliament almost for the past four years, has finally been withdrawn. The Citizenship Act Amendment Bill, which had been ‘under consideration’ in the House of Representatives (HoR) since August 7, 2018, was withdrawn from the House on Friday.

KATHMANDU, July 8: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Mayor Balendra Shah aka Balen Shah has held a meeting with former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Federal Council of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Dr. Baburam Bhattarai.

KATHMANDU, July 8: Several old cases are pending at the Supreme court (SC) - some for the past two decades - due to the ‘lack of time’ to hear these cases. One such case in point is the case involving former executive general manager of Nepal Oil Corporation, Yuvraj Sharma. After a series of hearings on the corruption case filed against Sharma, the SC ruled to announce the final verdict on the case. It’s already been two years since that SC decision, but the final verdict on the case hasn’t been announced. The SC ruled two years ago that Sharma had embezzled Rs 5.4 million, but the final verdict on the case is yet to be made.

Oli to address meeting of UML central departments
