KATHMANDU, Sept 1: The Legislation Management Committee of the National Assembly has passed the 'Bill designed to amend the Nepal Citizenship Act, 2063'. The bill, which was sent earlier by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari for reconsideration and was subsequently endorsed without changes by the House of Representatives (HoR), was passed with a majority.

KATHMANDU, August 31: The Election Commission (EC) is about to establish its offices in all the 165 electoral constituencies for the elections to the House of Representatives (HoR) and arrange for the counting of votes for the provincial assembly and HoR elections there.

KATHMANDU, August 31: The Impeachment Recommendation Committee has started grilling suspended Chief Justice (CJ) Cholendra SJB Rana. The committee started recording Rana’s statement in the meeting room of the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee at Singhadurbar on Wednesday.

The Impeachment Recommendation Committee of parliament summoned Rana, giving him an opportunity to defend the charges leveled against him today. The ruling parties filed the impeachment proposal against Rana last year with 21 charges.
