NUWAKOT, June 12: The World Vision International Nepal's District Office at Nuwakot came under attack last night.  Netra Bikram Chand 'Biplop' led CPN Maoist has taken responsibility for the attack which took place at 12:30 am.

KATHMANDU, June 11: Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun 'Pasang', who is on an official visit to China, was paid a courtesy call Saturday by Governor of Yunnan Provincial People's Government, Chen Hao. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged their views on cooperation between Nepal and the Yunnan Province of China, the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing said in a press release.

DHANGADHI, June 11: Chairman of the CPN Maoist Centre Pushpa Kamal Dahal has reaffirmed on the need of a national consensus government for resolving the existing problems in the country. Talking to journalists here today, he argued that such a government was needed for implementation of the constitution, the post-earthquake reconstruction, resolution of the Tharu and Madhes problems and taking the peace process to a conclusion.

KATHMANDU, June 11: Nepal's relations with India is "incomparable" and its growing ties with China was not at the cost of India, Deputy Prime Minister Kamal Thapa said in New Delhi on Friday. Indian media reported that Thapa said that there was no threat to Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli's government though Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal had set certain conditions to continue his party's support to the coalition regime.

KATHMANDU, June 11: The Baburam Bhattarai-led Naya Shakti Nepal is formally announcing the party on Sunday. Spokesperson Khim Lal Devkota said that representatives from 24 countries and all 75 districts of the country will attend the ceremony. The party said that major political parties and envoys of 25 countries have also been invited.

BIRATNAGAR, June 11: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the government is ready to address the demands of the disgruntled parties on Saturday. Inaugurating  Tarini Prasad Koirala Smriti Sanchargram in Biratnagar today, Oli said the government will address the demands of the agitating parties if they come to a dialogue with logical agendas. "Put forth your clear-cut demands mentioning the Articles of the Constitution, the government will address them," Oli said, claiming that the Constitution has not discriminated anyone in the country.

CHITWAN, June 11: Nepali Congress Central Committee member Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has said that the existing problems should be resolved by forming a national consensus government. Speaking at a news conference organized by Chitwan chapter of Press Union here Saturday, leader Mahat said, "The incumbent government cannot resolve the problems of the people. So the national consensus government should be formed as soon as possible."

DAMAK,  June 10: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today said no one should engage in political manoeuvrings in course of development terming 'development' as a common agenda related to all.  The PM laid the foundation stone for Damak View Tower to be constructed at Dapga Gachi of Damak – 6 this morning and stressed on need to rise above political interest for sake of development.

KATHMANDU, June 10: Leading an 11-member delegation, Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has left for China Friday morning. Pun is visiting the northern neighbor to participate in the 4th China-South Asia Expo and the 24th Kunming Import and Export Commodities Fair to be held in Kunming from June 12.
