KATHMANDU, June 11: Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun 'Pasang', who is on an official visit to China, was paid a courtesy call Saturday by Governor of Yunnan Provincial People's Government, Chen Hao. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged their views on cooperation between Nepal and the Yunnan Province of China, the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing said in a press release.

DHANGADHI, June 11: Chairman of the CPN Maoist Centre Pushpa Kamal Dahal has reaffirmed on the need of a national consensus government for resolving the existing problems in the country. Talking to journalists here today, he argued that such a government was needed for implementation of the constitution, the post-earthquake reconstruction, resolution of the Tharu and Madhes problems and taking the peace process to a conclusion.

KATHMANDU, June 11: Nepal's relations with India is "incomparable" and its growing ties with China was not at the cost of India, Deputy Prime Minister Kamal Thapa said in New Delhi on Friday. Indian media reported that Thapa said that there was no threat to Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli's government though Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal had set certain conditions to continue his party's support to the coalition regime.

Stage set for announcement of Naya Shakti Nepal

BIRATNAGAR, June 11: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the government is ready to address the demands of the disgruntled parties on Saturday. Inaugurating  Tarini Prasad Koirala Smriti Sanchargram in Biratnagar today, Oli said the government will address the demands of the agitating parties if they come to a dialogue with logical agendas. "Put forth your clear-cut demands mentioning the Articles of the Constitution, the government will address them," Oli said, claiming that the Constitution has not discriminated anyone in the country.
