KATHMANDU, June 23: A buffalo on the loose created terror among people at the middle of the capital city in Sundhara on Thursday. The male buffalo created panic among pedestrians and two-wheelers riders. The traffic has also distributed by the unwanted guest. Employees from Kathmandu Metropolitan City Office later took the unruly animal into control.
KATHMANDU, June 20: Arrival of monsoon has boosted zeal and happiness of farmers. Farmers are seen busy working in fields toiling and planting paddy saplings with a hope of a good harvest. The government has been marking National Paddy Day of 15th day of the Nepali month of Asar.
On a visit to Pashupatinath temple, a rare sight caught my attention and I went to take a closer look. There was a boy, not older than 10 years, intensely studying the palms of a much older man. The look of concentration in his face and the professional way in which he was examining the fate lines spoke of quite some experience.
We arrived Gosaikunda on our second day of the trip from Kathmandu. The six-hour drive from Kathmandu to Gosaikunda via bus had exhausted us completely. However, pain that we endured all along our journey was gone away once we reached to Gosaikunda.
