Seven injured in bolero jeep accident in Syangja

KATHMANDU, Oct 4: Seven people have sustained injuries in a bolero jeep accident in Andhikhola, Syangja district. The Bolero Jeep (Ga 1 Ja 5756), which was heading to Pokhara from Sirubari met with an accident on an inner road in Bejhang, Aandhikhola Rural Municipality.

Hari Prasad Paudel, deputy superintendent of police (DSP) of the District Police Office, Syangja, said that the accident occurred when the jeep's brakes failed and it overturned into a drain at the corner of the road. The jeep was carrying seven passengers and the driver.

The injured passengers are Aatma Ram Sigdel, 50, of Andhikhola Rural Municipality-5; Kalawati Ghimire,4; Sirjana Chapagain,32, Amana Nepali,16, of Chhorepatan, Pokhara; Shanti Kumari Sapkota,5, of Aruchaur, Arjun Chaupari-5, Syangja;  Shiva Sigdel,61, and Sophia Nepali,3, daughter of Manisha Nepali, of Pokhara Metropolitan Municipality-11, Kaski. However, the condition of Manisha is normal.  

Police said that all the injured passengers have been sent to Setidovan health post for treatment.
