Police informed Bal Bahadur Thapa, 24, died while undergoing treatment in Lumbini Zonal Hospital after Raj Kumar Pariyar, 25, attacked Thapa with a lumber while the latter was sleeping at his home.
It is learned that Pariyar attacked Thapa following a debate that occurred on Saturday noon.
Police have impounded Raj Kumar.
