YF cadres allegedly attacked YCL area member Asha Ram Sunar, 21, with khukuri at Maintada in Surkhet. Other Maoist cadres Hira Bahadur BK, Khim Bahadur Wali and Setiram Sunar were also injured in the clash. They are undergoing treatment at the Mid-West Regional Hospital.
YCL leaders have accused YF members Shashi Khatri, Dal Bahadur Gharti and Chopendra Rakhal of killing Sunar. YCL cadres have handed Khatri over to the police.
Following the incident, Maoist cadres obstructed vehicular movement along the Chhinchu-Jajarkot road section in protest.
