KATHMANDU, March 19: A writ petition was filed on Tuesday at the Supreme Court (SC) against the 11-hour load shedding in Bhaktapur. Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has increased load-shedding by an hour in Bhaktapur as a punishment for power leakage in the area.

Kanchan Krishna Neupane of Bhaktapur moved the apex court with the petition stating that the NEA´s decision to increase power cuts in the area has violated article 13 of the Interim Constitution. [break]

The writ petitioner has urged the SC to issue an interim order against the NEA´s decision.
