KATHMANDU, March 31: The country is currently under the influence of westerly and local winds. At present, the hilly regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces, along with other provinces, are generally cloudy, while the rest of the country is experiencing mostly clear weather, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD). Light rainfall is occurring at one or two places in the hilly areas of Gandaki Province.
According to the MFD, this afternoon, generally cloudy conditions will occur in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Madhesh provinces, as well as other parts of the country. In contrast, the Terai region will experience partly cloudy skies.
Chances of rain with thunder today
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder, lightning, gusty winds, and hail at a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province and at some places elsewhere. There is also a chance of snowfall in the high mountainous areas.
Tonight, the mountainous regions of Koshi Province and other areas will remain generally cloudy. The hilly regions will be partly cloudy, while the Terai will experience mostly clear weather.
There is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning, as well as snowfall, at one or two places in the high mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, MFD reported.
