KATHMANDU, Oct. 20: Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has said that his party was fully committed to implementing the new constitution.

At an interaction programme organised by Reporters' Club at Koirala's residence in Maharajgunj in the capital city on Tuesday, he said that Nepali Congress would not remain hesitant for institutional development of democracy and implementation of constitution.

The former Prime Minister also suggested the government to immediately pass the bills on constitution amendment and reconstruction authority.

Effective diplomatic efforts should be forwarded to end the obstructions in the Nepal-India border, Koirala added.

He also reiterated the rhetoric of talks, consensus, coordination, reconciliation and unity for country's development.

On the occasion, the NC President urged the agitating parties in Terai-Madhes to seek consensus through talks. RSS
