UML delegates begin group-wise discussion at extended meet

CHITWAN, Dec 8: The ruling CPN-UML has begun the group-wise discussion at the extended meeting of UML leaders from Madhes being held here in Sauraha of the district on Tuesday.

The delegates have been divided into various groups in line with the existing federal structure to hold the group-wise discussion focussing on the ongoing Madhes protest and the Indian imposed blockade on Nepal.


 

A total of nine groups have been formed including  one each groups from state no.1, 3, 4, 6 and 7 and three groups from state no. 2  and two groups from state no. 5.

A total of 275 leaders, including UML's office bearers, standing committee members, chairmen of 22 districts in Madhes as well as district and zonal in-charge from the Madhes region are attending the extended meeting with the cadres from Madhes districts.

The two-day meeting will discuss on three papers prepared by the party secretariat.

The papers are focused on the socio-economic problems of Madhesh and the party's policy on resolving them.
