The injured have been identified as Suresh Singh of Tenuwapatti-9 and Ram Narayan Singh of Sitapur of Siraha. They were attacked while they were returning home from India on a motorcycle, police said.
According to the police, the injured have sustained serious bullet injuries on several parts of the body. They have been sent to BP Koirala Institute for Health Sciences, Dharan for treatment.
The gang also took away the motorcycle ridden by the injured duo, police said.
It is said that Madhesh Rastra Janatantrik (Revolutionary) has owned up the responsibility of the incident.
