Motorcyclist Narayan Khadka died on the spot after the truck (Na 4 Kha 1652) hit the motorcycle (Na 15 Pa 3011) at Bastipur, Basamadi VDC along the East West Highway.[break]
Pillion rider Subhadra Khadka was critically injured in the incident. Khadka, sister in law of Narayan, is rushed to Bharatpur for treatment, the District Police Office, Makawanpur said.
Locals have obstructed the vehicular movement after the incident.
Likewise, an infant died at Pansera VDC in Saptari district this morning. Parents of the infant were critically injured in the incident.
The accident took place after the truck (Na 2 Kha 6964) hit the motorcycle (Sa 3 Pa 6521) at Pansera-7.
The deceased has been identified as seven month old Soyal, son of Mohammad Umar and Ruksana Khatun of Govindapur VDC-7 in Siraha.
