Two injured in Maharajgunj fire

KATHMANDU, July 29: Two persons were injured in a fire that broke out at RCC Guest House located in front of TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, in the capital at around 10 am Monday.



Ranju Humagain, the wife of the guest house owner, and Narendra Basnet suffered minor injuries in the fire, DSP Prabhu Dhakal, chief of Metropolitan Police Circle, Maharajgunj, said. They are receiving treatment at the hospital. [break]



The loss of physical properties is yet to be assessed. According to the police officer, the blaze is now under control after an effort by firefighters, army, police and locals. The fire started after a gas cylinder exploded.
