Two die in Chitwan in separate incidents

CHITWAN, Sept 21: A housekeeping in-charge with Hotel Machan Wildlife Camp inside the Chitwan National Park has died Sunday evening after being swept away by the Rapti River.



Ramlal Darai was swept away by the river while he was returning to the hotel after participating in a trade union protest. His body was found Monday morning, said a trade union leader Bharat Ranabhat.



Meanwhile, a passenger has died after falling from a speeding microbus in Jhurjhure, Chitwan on Monday.



Anil Adhikari, 18, of Piple fell from the microbus (Ba 1 Kha 9641) and died while being taken to hospital for treatment. Police have taken driver Deepak KC and the micro bus under control.
