PARASI, March 4: A man, who was injured in a motorcycle accident in Parasi of Nawalparasi district, died on Thursday morning while undergoing treatment in Bir Hospital, Kahtmandu.
Forty-five-year old Om Prakash Kharel, an official of Nepal Telecom, Parasi branch, was seriously injured after a motorcycle (Lu 5 Pa 5307) hit him. [break]
Injured Kharel was sent to Bir Hospital for further treatment from Medical College, Bhairawaha.
Similarly, a man died on the spot and other was seriously injured in a road mishap in Baranga of Morang district this morning. The deceased has been identified as motorcyclist Imang Rai, 25, of Sinjuwa-8 of the district. Pillion rider Chandan Sharma, 23, of Jhurkiya-1, Morang, was injured in the incident.
The accident met after a bus (Ko 1 Kha 2299) heading towards south from Baranga hit a motorcycle (Ba 18 Pa 3846) from the opposite direction, said police.
Injured Sharma is being treated in Biratnagar based Neuro Hospital. Police have impounded the bus and the driver for further investigation.
