Twenty disaster incidents in 24 hours: One dead, seven injured

In the past 24 hours, 20 disaster-related incidents were reported across the country, resulting in one death and seven injuries, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA).

KATHMANDU, April 2: In the past 24 hours, 20 disaster-related incidents were reported across the country, resulting in one death and seven injuries, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA).



A man from Bagmati Rural Municipality-1 in Makwanpur died while receiving treatment after being struck by lightning while returning from fishing. Another man injured in the same incident also survived.

Elsewhere, three people were injured by lightning in Dailekh, two were bitten by snakes in Sunsari and Kailali, and one person sustained injuries in a fire incident in Morang, the authority reported.
