Truck set on fire in Kapilvastu

KAPILVASTU, Dec 22: Cadres of United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) set a truck, Na 2 Kha 2977, on fire at Birpur, Shivaraj Municipality along the Krishnanagar-Chandrauta road section on Monday midnight.

The truck heading to Kathmandu carrying unpurified sugar was completely damaged in the arson.

UDMF Coordinator Satish Chanra Gupta took responsibility of the incident and said the truck was set ablaze for defying shutdown.

Two trucks were set on fire along the same road section some two weeks ago.
