The Indian digital satellite service provider operated by Dish Media Network Pvt. Ltd was completely damaged following explosion of a bomb thrown by the Maoist cadres, police quoted an eyewitness as saying. The tower and its office have been destroyed in the explosion.
Biplab-led Maoist had been warning time and again to close down the Indian TV channels. The broadcast channels have been hit following the destruction of the Dish Home tower. The tower was attacked by six motor-cycle borne youths, said police.
Police have launched a manhunt to nab the people involved in the incident and investigating into the case.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Dish Home Sudip Acharya said the tower has been destroyed due to the attack. Acharya added that they are rendering efforts to resume the interrupted services as soon as possible.
