Organizing a press meet on Monday, the Western Regional Hotel Association said that the discount will be provided to tourists visiting the Lake City during the 13th Fewa New Year Festival.
“We have aimed to attract some 25,000 tourists during the festival,” said Chairman of Western Regional Hotel Association. The organizers claimed that some 200,000 locals will visit the festival.
The festival will be organized at the banks of Fewa Lake from April 10-14 with an aim to attract internal and foreign tourists.
The festival will showcase stalls of local agricultural and industrial products, food stalls and cultural shows.
Festival coordinator Bikal Tulachan hoped that the festival will help to revive tourism in Pokhara that has been hit-hard due to last year’s earthquake.
