Three Star edged past Team Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) 1-0 in a group round match played at the Chamlingthan Stadium on Tuesday.
Midfielder Pukar Gahatraj scored the lone goal in the 67th minute of the match. According to the official Twitter page of the organizers, Team BJMC was limited to 10 men after its player Tara received marching order in the 57th minutes of the match following two bookings. [break]
Following the win, Three Star has seven points in the group and has qualified for the semifinals. Three Star had played a 1-1 draw with United Sikkim, India in the first group round match and defeated Thimpu City 3-1 in the second match on Thursday.
"We won 1-0 against bjmc bangladesh..now we r group winner n reach semifinal of kings cup," a delighted Three Star coach Anjan KC wrote on his Facebook page after the match.
Besides Three Star, two other Nepali A division clubs -- Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marshyangdi Club and NMB Machhindra Football Club -- are also playing in the tournament.
