Sushil Koirala to vie for NC prez

KATHMANDU, July 10: Nepali Congress Acting President Sushil Koirala on Friday said he would file candidacy for the post of party president in the upcoming general convention in December.



Koirala made the claim for the post in the wake of party president Girija Prasad Koirala already announcing not to contest or the post.



Acting President Koirala said he would get elected to the post of president as he helped elect another senior leader in the party Ram Chandra Poudel to the post of parliamentary party leader.
