KATHMANDU: Normal life in Palpa is paralyzed on Tuesday due to a general strike called by Nepali Congress and its student wing, Nepal Student Union (NSU). Nepal FM reported that the NSU called the strike in protest against an attack on their members by Maoist-affiliated students on Monday.

Clash between the two student wings had erupted in Tribhuvan Multipla Campus following a row over graffiti. Markets are closed and short and long-route transportation services have been halted due to the strike.
