BIRATNAGAR, Aug 18: The normal life in the eastern region is thrown out of gear from early morning today due to an indefinite strike imposed by United Democratic Madhesi Front and Tharuhat Front.The educational institutions have closed while the vehicles have remained off the road due to the strike for the last four days. The passengers are forced to use the rickshaws by paying hefty amount to reach their destinations due to the general shutdown.
Similarly, the number of service seekers has sharply decreased in the government offices. The Madhes-based political parties and other organisations have enforced the strike by putting forth various demands in the new constitution. RSS
