President of the federation, Jayendra Bahadur Chand said that all preparations for the event were now complete. The All Nepal Football Association will be providing technical support and Nepal Telecom will sponsor the tournament.
The event has a budget of Rs 20 million. According to the organizers, the Ministry of Youth and Sports has provided Rs 1 million for the cup. Ticket sales is expected to fetch Rs 5 million.
After the attacks on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Pakistan on Tuesday, security has been beefed up in Kathmandu "keeping in view the current situation, we have intensified security", Chand further added.
The organizers have formed different sub-committees to ensure smooth running of the event. Pakistan´s national side will be arriving in Kathmandu only on Saturday. The inaugural match is between Nepal (Blue) and Sri Lanka´s national side.
