The awards will be given away amidst a colorful public function attended by distinguished personalities of the society.[break] ´Say Yes to Advertising´ and ´Localizing Ideas, Incredibly´ are the themes for this year´s award.
“The award ceremony is very significance as it is the celebration of Nepali media and covers all the areas of advertisement industry,” said Nirmal Raj Poudel, president of AAN. He further added that the main objective of the award is to encourage companies and creative people working in Nepali advertising industry. “The estimated budget of Crity Award is Rs 2.4 million to Rs 3 million. The entire advertising industry are Nepali companies are sponsoring the event,” Poudel added.
AAN has received 424 entries from 35 agencies for this year´s award. Amonng agencies, Prisma Advertising had sent the highest number of entries, followed by Welcome Advertising and Max L´agence respectively. AAN is giving away the award in 22 different categories and each category has five nominees.
In addition to the regular categories, AAN has added two new categories -- Best Social Ad and Best Creative Youth Award - this year. We have added the Best Creative Youth Award to encourage the youths -- who are younger than 30 years -- to make a career in the advertising industry, Poudel informed Republica.
Bharat Nyachhyon, executive director of AAN, said the Best Creative Agency Award will be given to the agency winning the maximum number of awards.
AAN has formed a five-member judging committee under the leadership of movie expert Yadav Kharel. Dr Bhojraj Aryal, Babita Basnet, Durga Nath Sharma and Pradip Upadhyaya are the other members in the committee. The committee will select the winner from five nominees selected by a 35-member judging panel.
“The final results will be prepared a day before the award and will be kept in the locker of Kumari Bank Ltd,” Poudel said, adding, “Transparency and confidentiality are two things that add charm to this award.”
To make 6th Crity Award more interesting, AAN is also honoring five persons donning Daura Surwal. The most attractive Daura Suruwal will get the Best Design award.
The event will be televised live by all the local television stations from 3 pm onwards.
