Snowfall makes life difficult in Darchula

MAHENDRANAGAR, Jan 1: After a sudden change in weather pattern, the northern areas of Darchula is experiencing heavy snowfall since  Saturday night.



Byansh, Rapla, Khandeswori, Ghusa and Sunsera VDCs of the district have been receiving snowfall. However, it is not raining in those areas unlike in Mahendranar. [break]



The temperature has sharpy fallen down, crippling daily life of the people. "The students are not able to leave their home due to extreme cold outside," said a local Jivan Budathoki of Rapla.



The snowfall was delayed by weeks in Darchula this year according to a local. The villagers have already moved to Khalanga to avoid the hostile weather conditions.
