Smaller parties form panel to name their representation to cabinet

KATHMANDU, June 23: A meeting of 16 small parties that have supported the government formed on Tuesday a one-man panel headed by CPN-ML´s CP Mainali to coordinate representation of these parties to the cabinet, our correspondent Kiran Chapagain reported.



Mainali will hold a meeting of these parties on Wednesday to name the ministers from amongst them. The number of ministers has not been disclosed yet.



The meeting called by Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal at his office in Singha Durbar was also attended by leaders Tarai Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP). Former prime ministers -- Surya Bahadur Thapa of Rastriya Janashakti Party and Lokendra Bahadur Chand of RPP -- were also present.



Meanwhile, PM´s political advisor Raghuji Pant said that the cabinet will take its full shape on Wednesday.
