Can you share some of your experiences of working in your first feature film “Bato Muni ko Phool?” What’s it about?
It was full of fun. I totally had a blast. If you asked me about the film, it’s a love story. I’m paired opposite Nandita KC, while Yash Kumar and Rekha Thapa are starring opposite to each other. I play a character, whose life revolves around music and wants to join a band. And, keeping with the theme, I have also sung two songs in the film, “Tulsi angan ma ropaula” and “Oelayeko”.
Any memorable incident you recall while shooting for the film?
Well, there isn’t any particular memorable moment, but I can recall one hectic shooting schedule in Dhulikhel. For around 20 days, we visited the shooting spot, and could only manage a few scenes as the weather was really unpredictable. For a moment it would be sunny and then suddenly it would start to rain.

What are your expectations from the movie “Bato muni ko phool”?
The audiences have solidly been on my side so far; they have accepted me as an actor in serials and music videos. I hope they will be kind enough to follow the suit in my first journey to Nepali film industry. I have posted a song from my upcoming movie, “Tulsi angan ma ropaula” on Facebook and the response has been so overwhelming. The comments are encouraging. The release date is slated for Mangsir 10.
How was it working with Rekha Thapa, one of the most sought-after actresses in the industry?
I knew Rekha since her struggling days. We come from the same place and have even performed together on stage in India on many occasions. So, there was already a level of comfort. About my other co-star in the film, Nandita KC, we have done music videos together and it looks like a re-union. I enjoyed working with both of them.
Are there any other projects in the pipeline?
I already finished shooting for the film “Na birse timilai, na paye timilai”. The film stars Biraj Bhatt, among others, and has been produced under the banner of Pragya Films.
A few things people don’t know about Babu Bogati?
To star opposite Karisma Manandhar in a romantic role is my ultimate fantasy. Apart from singing and acting, I have a passion for interior decoration. I am very particular about food. But it doesn’t mean that I am a big fan of spicy food; I’m not that into continental dishes, you can call me a “dal-bhat” person. I’m an easy person to be feed.
