Shrestha impresses in Dhaka

KATHMANDU, Oct 7: Nepal No 1 pro Shiva Ram Shrestha carded three-under 69 on Monday to remain in the fourth position of the leader-board in the BTI International Golf Championship that teed off on Monday at the Kurmitola Golf Club, Dhaka in Bangladesh.



Shrestha carded one-under 35 on the front nine as he shot birdies on the third and ninth holes against a bogey on the eighth. He carded two-under 34 on the back nine as he shot birdies on the 10th, 11th, 12th and 18th holes against bogeys on the 14th and 16th holes.[break]



Jamal Hossain Mollah and Sayum carded five-under 67 to remain on the top of the leader-board while Ranjit Singh remained on the third position with a score of four-under 68 on the first day.



Nepali pro Sanjay Lama carded three-over 75 on Monday to remain on the 25th position.

Likewise, another Nepal pro Krishna Man Rajbahak faltered on the first day of the 72-hole tournament and carded 11-over 83 to remain in the 61st place among the participating 70 golfers.



The invitational tournament is organized by Bangladesh Golf Federation (BGF) under the auspices of Bangladesh Professional Golfers´ Association (BPGA).
