KATHMANDU: The ongoing Central Committee (CC) meeting of the CPN (Maoist) has appointed its leader Dina Nath Sharma as spokesperson of the party. Sharma replaces Krishna Bahadur Mahara, who is currently the Minister for Information and Communication as well as the government spokesperson.

The decision comes after the party decided to strictly implement the ‘one man-one post’ policy. The policy, however, will not be applicable to Party Chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

Talking to media persons at the party´s Central Office at Buddhanagar, the newly appointed spokesperson Sharma said the CC meeting has appointed Post Bahadur Bogati as chief whip of the party in the Constituent Assembly (CA).

Likewise, the meeting has also reshuffled heads of its state committees and other organizational units.
